A team of scientists from the Andalusian Institute for Earth System Research (University of Granada) and the Federal Institute of São Paulo, has published an article in the journal Agricultural and Forest Meteorology that demonstrates the substantial influence of ABL dynamics on surface pollen concentrations, highlighting its crucial role in the transport, dispersion and distribution of particles in the atmosphere.
The study, entitled “The Role of Atmospheric Boundary Layer Wind and Turbulence on Surface Pollen Levels”, quantifies the effect of variables related to ABL dynamics on surface pollen concentrations in the city of Granada, southeastern Spain.
